![]() Either A) Stats show absolutely nothing about player skill, and are useless as a metric for comparing players, or B) some single stat is the single most important thing in the game (PR, W/R, T10 variants of those, or some other stat). Many times in discussions about the viability of stats as a measure of player skill, I see people taking one of two extremes. You imply that stats show player skill by saying you can use them to improve, but then say that stats are useless at measuring a player's skill. However, just because you don't play the game "competitively" per se, doesn't mean your stats are meaningless. Like you said, there a wide variety of players playing this game, at various skill levels and for various reasons. First off, I entirely agree that just because someone has bad stats, doesn't mean you have the right to insult them about it.
